I first met Berta outside the Woodbridge library, she was sat in her mobile chair, soaking in the bright warmth and sun-light. I asked her if she was not concerned about the damage sun could cause; with her bright eyes and lovely smile she replied "I'm 90 years old, why the f**k should I worry about cancer". From that day on, whenever I met her, we kissed and held hands and shared each others lives. I am disabled by M.E. but every chat we had, and there were many, she inspired me. She is a beautiful woman and I miss her. We met many times, by chance and she always inspired me to gratitude for what I have. Berta stands unique in her humanity, she is also the oldest woman I have ever flirted with, but the most fun and beautiful I have known. I'm so glad to have known her. Stephen.xxx
